It is understood that Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital holds many volunteer, all of whom have their own work, family and children. Ms. Huang is one of them. She was deeply touched when she learned that many of her friends took the initiative to volunteer at Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital, so she came over after she settled down her work and child. She indicated that Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital specially set up small-sized mosque, Buddhist prayer room and prayer room for the sake of each and every patient’s belief and their spiritual needs. This move has deeply touched hospitalized patients and toughened their determination to fight against the devil of illness.

Auntie Zhu in room 308, 63 years old, is a cervix cancer patient from Indonesia. After received treatments at FUDA, she became better and better both physically and mentally by each passing day. Ms. Huang and other volunteers often drop by, chat with auntie Zhu and sing for her. She also told auntie Zhu that they would throw a new year party for patients at FUDA in the evening of December 29.

Looking at the Christmas card full of blessing words, auntie Zhu said, “I don’t feel lonely during my hospitalization at Fuda Cancer Hospital though I came all the way from Indonesia. During my treatment, I feel the warmth and affection delivered by medical workers and volunteers at FUDA. After treatment, my condition has improved, which has really relived my family.”

Auntie Zhu’s husband said that he was very worried when he learned that his wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. They visited almost all local hospitals in Indonesia but doctors offered the same treatment plan, which was operation and chemotherapy. Considering that auntie Zhu could not tolerate operation due to her advanced age and chemotherapy might inflict serious side effects, they made the decision to seek for appropriate treatments. Almost in no time, they got to know argon-helium cryosurgery-- a characteristic treatment offered by Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital. As they learned that cryosurgery could freeze tumor to death without operation, they decided to have a try at FUDA. Now, the good physical condition of auntie Zhang testified that their choice was right.
